Because Your Child Deserves More Than the Ordinary

At Artisan, we honor this stage of life with meaningful experiences that help children grow into capable, joyful, and independent learners. We believe children thrive when their days are filled with purpose, creativity, and connection. Here’s how Artisan goes beyond traditional childcare.

A Curriculum That Honors Childhood

A Curriculum That Honors Childhood

We follow the interests of the child, not a rigid checklist. At Artisan, learning comes through play, exploration, and meaningful real-world experiences. Whether building towers or observing insects, children are developing the social, emotional, and academic skills that matter most.

Music Lessons
Every Day

Music Lessons
Every Day

Music is a daily part of life at Artisan. Our music program begins right from infancy, with daily music and movement classes for infants and toddlers. Beginning around age three, children participate in small-group piano and violin lessons. These experiences build coordination, memory, emotional awareness, and confidence, all while giving children a joyful way to express themselves.

Teaching Nature & Responsibility

Teaching Nature & Responsibility

Our garden is a living classroom where children care for plants from seed to harvest. Alongside our gardener, they learn about soil, composting, pollinators, and where food comes from, gaining responsibility, patience, and a deep respect for nature along the way.

An Environment That Feels Like Home

An Environment That Feels Like Home

Artisan campuses don’t feel institutional. They feel warm, open, and calming. Our restored historic buildings sit on 2-5 acres of land, with light-filled interiors, natural materials, and quiet spaces for play and reflection. Every detail is chosen with children’s well-being in mind.

A True Community of Families

A True Community of Families

We're more than a school: we're a village. Through our Healthy Family Initiative, seasonal events, workshops, and gatherings, we help families connect and grow together. Many parents tell us Artisan feels like an extension of their home.

Toddlers

Toddlers are natural explorers, and our program is designed to meet their boundless curiosity. In cozy, light-filled classrooms, they build independence through hands-on play, art, music, and outdoor adventures. We encourage self-expression, early social skills, and a love for trying new things, all guided by teachers who genuinely understand and celebrate the toddler journey.

Preschoolers

At Artisan, early education is where imagination and confidence soar. Our curriculum is rich with hands-on experiences in literacy, math, and science, but always balanced with ample time for imaginative play and outdoor exploration. Daily music lessons, including small-group piano or violin, build skills and confidence, ensuring our preschoolers are not just ready for kindergarten, they are thoughtful, capable, and genuinely excited to learn.

WHY PARENTS
CHOOSE ARTISAN

We have had such a great experience at Artisan with our infant. As first time parents, we truly value the thoughtful caregivers who have taken such good care of our little one and provided answers to our numerous questions (tips for napping, managing teething etc). Our little one jumps out of our arms at drop off to play with the class. Can’t recommend it enough!

WHY MUSIC MATTERS

THE POWER OF MUSIC EDUCATION

Helps Build a Stronger Brain

Music lights up every part of the brain, helping children improve memory, attention span, and problem-solving from an early age.

Sharpens Listening SKILLS

Learning music teaches children to slow down and really listen, which supports reading readiness, comprehension, and focus.

Boosts Language & Communication

Through singing and rhythm, kids start
to recognize sounds and patterns in speech, laying the groundwork for language even before they’re fluent.

Encourages Emotional Expression

Improves Coordination & Fine Motor Skills

Playing instruments like the piano or violin helps refine hand-eye coordination and strengthens the small muscles needed for writing and self-care.

Fosters Social Connection

Group music time is about more than just learning to play an instrument or singing together: it helps kids practice taking turns, listening to others, and working as a team.

frequently asked questions

Do you offer both full-time and part-time options?

Yes. We understand that every family has unique needs, and we offer a variety of full-time and part-time enrollment options. Please connect with us to discuss which schedule might be the best fit for your family.

How do you help children with big changes, like drop-off or moving to a new classroom?

We handle transitions with immense care and consistency. We prioritize building strong relationships with each child and family, introducing new routines gradually, and communicating closely. Our goal is to ensure every child feels safe, seen, and supported, no matter what their day brings.

How will I stay connected to my child’s day?

We believe in an open and collaborative partnership with our families. Our teachers share daily updates, photos, and developmental insights through a secure parent app and regular check-ins. You’ll always have a window into your child’s day, knowing not just what they did, but how they’re growing.
