We follow the interests of the child, not a rigid checklist. At Artisan, learning comes through play, exploration, and meaningful real-world experiences. Whether building towers or observing insects, children are developing the social, emotional, and academic skills that matter most.
Music is a daily part of life at Artisan. Our music program begins right from infancy, with daily music and movement classes for infants and toddlers. Beginning around age three, children participate in small-group piano and violin lessons. These experiences build coordination, memory, emotional awareness, and confidence, all while giving children a joyful way to express themselves.
Our garden is a living classroom where children care for plants from seed to harvest. Alongside our gardener, they learn about soil, composting, pollinators, and where food comes from, gaining responsibility, patience, and a deep respect for nature along the way.
Artisan campuses don’t feel institutional. They feel warm, open, and calming. Our restored historic buildings sit on 2-5 acres of land, with light-filled interiors, natural materials, and quiet spaces for play and reflection. Every detail is chosen with children’s well-being in mind.
We're more than a school: we're a village. Through our Healthy Family Initiative, seasonal events, workshops, and gatherings, we help families connect and grow together. Many parents tell us Artisan feels like an extension of their home.
OUR PROGRAMS
Ages 6 weeks - 15 months
Our infant program is a warm, nurturing place where your baby feels safe and cherished. With small class sizes and consistent, loving caregivers, we provide attentive care that honors their unique pace. We introduce gentle routines, including sensory play, early sign language, and music, to foster a deep sense of connection, communication, and security from day one.
Ages 15 months - 3 years
Toddlers are natural explorers, and our program is designed to meet their boundless curiosity. In cozy, light-filled classrooms, they build independence through hands-on play, art, music, and outdoor adventures. We encourage self-expression, early social skills, and a love for trying new things, all guided by teachers who genuinely understand and celebrate the toddler journey.
3 years - 5 years old
At Artisan, early education is where imagination and confidence soar. Our curriculum is rich with hands-on experiences in literacy, math, and science, but always balanced with ample time for imaginative play and outdoor exploration. Daily music lessons, including small-group piano or violin, build skills and confidence, ensuring our preschoolers are not just ready for kindergarten, they are thoughtful, capable, and genuinely excited to learn.
We have had such a great experience at Artisan with our infant. As first time parents, we truly value the thoughtful caregivers who have taken such good care of our little one and provided answers to our numerous questions (tips for napping, managing teething etc). Our little one jumps out of our arms at drop off to play with the class. Can’t recommend it enough!
