Employment Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in employment with Artisan. At Artisan, we seek committed, passionate early childhood education professionals. Read more below to learn why you should join our team!

Quality Facilities

Artisan is a warm and nurturing environment for both children and staff. Our centers are warm, welcoming buildings with well-stocked and thoughtfully designed classrooms.

Stimulating Curriculum

Our educators focus on social and emotional development through play by offering children the opportunity to explore in both the classroom and natural world. Early academics are also incorporated to ensure children are prepared for their next steps in education. At Artisan, classroom teachers have autonomy when planning theme-based curriculum and activities. We especially love when teachers bring their own passions and interests into the classroom! Incorporating creativity, visual and performing arts, sensory activities, cultural exploration, and family are all encouraged at Artisan.

Positive Workplace Culture

Artisan strives to create a community of positivity, teamwork and inclusion by valuing diversity, creativity, and hard work. With our open-door policy, teachers are mentored and supported by a team of highly dedicated administrators and senior staff. Our administrative team is committed to creating and maintaining a culture of kindness, communication, understanding and recognition of all the hard work our teachers do. We achieve this by encouraging open communication, training and professional development opportunities, and frequent verbal/tangible recognition of our amazing staff’s hard work.

Teacher recognition includes cash prizes for employee of the month and teacher of the year awards, multiple staff outings throughout the year, a robust teacher appreciation week celebration, holiday gifts, staff shout out boards, tokens of appreciation with fun word plays/gifts, a “you rock” rock passed from staff member to staff member, and staff-nominated peer awards.

Compensation and Career Advancement

Artisan is a growing company with many opportunities for advancement both in the classroom and in management positions. Our educators are valued members of our community and are compensated as such through competitive salary and benefit packages. We currently operate centers out of Woburn, Newton, and Cambridge; with a center in Weston coming online soon!

If you are looking to join a dynamic team of empowered teachers, take a look at our center's core values below! Do you have what it takes to be a member of the Artisan teaching team?

Artisan Childcare Center Core Values

  1. Team Approach
We take a team approach to providing childcare. No task is beneath any member of our staff and all staff share the responsibilities of teaching and nurturing the children entrusted to our care. We work together and succeed together.

  2. Strong Work Ethic
Our belief in the value of the service we provide fuels us to work hard at what we do. A strong work ethic is expected but also appreciated, and it will be rewarded.

  3. Reliability
Our children require quality, consistent care on a daily basis, and our families expect it. We expect all staff to arrive at work on time and avoid absences unless absolutely necessary. Unnecessary absences diminish the quality of care we provide, negatively impact relationships with children, and leave remaining teachers at a disadvantage.

  4. Trust
Our staff is comprised of highly trained experienced teachers. We trust our staff's ability to meet the needs of our children by loving, nurturing, and educating them through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum. From the management to the teachers we need to be able trust each other's motives and actions in everything we do.

  5. Commitment
We are committed to Artisan's vision and philosophy of early childhood education. We are committed to developing positive, productive relationships with our co-teachers. And most of all we are committed to the children entrusted to our care.

  6. Communication
Consistent, proactive, appropriate communication with children, parents and fellow staff is critical for us to maintain a high quality of care. Staff feedback is not only welcome, but invited. Especially when it is given in a constructive, positive way.

  7. Integrity
Personal honesty and integrity is the foundation of our success. By acting with the utmost integrity, we can maintain the highest standard of professionalism and operate "above reproach" at all times.

  8. Positive Atmosphere
Artisan is to be a place where staff love to work, and children love to learn. A positive atmosphere should be tangible when one walks through the door. We take a positive, solution-oriented approach to handling problems, rather than a negative approach. We are committed to planning events for both staff and families to have fun and build community.

  9. The Arts
While mainstream schools are cutting arts education, Artisan is a unique center that places a special emphasis on quality music programming. We emphasize the arts because we believe it is an important, highly beneficial part of a child's overall education, and all staff are expected to embrace and support this objective.

Artisan offers competitive compensation packages, including paid vacation, health, dental, 401(k), disability and life insurance. Please send your resume and cover letter to the appropriate director listed below. If you are interested in a position at:
