Hello Families! My name is Ms. Melissa, and I joined the Artisan family in September of 2019. I have been an early childhood educator for over ten years, and I have worked with ages 6 weeks to 5 years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in psychology and am currently enrolled in a master’s program at Lesley University for Clinical and Mental Health with a concentration in Expressive therapies. It is my hope to bring mental health awareness to children in early childhood and early education centers.

I am originally from Vermont and moved to Massachusetts in June of 2019 to attend my University. It has been quite a culture shock coming from a small rural town. I enjoy doing anything outside, including kayaking, hiking, and swimming, and anything creative. Some of my favorite things to do with children is allowing them to explore the outdoors. Another thing I enjoy doing with children is experimenting with different ways to explore the creative arts. It is inspiring to watch their natural response to the materials.
