Averill Angle
Hello! My name is Ms. Averill (think April with a V) and I started working at Artisan in January 2021. I recently received my bachelors from Wellesley College in 2020. I’ve been working with children in a childcare setting since 2016.
I was born and raised in Charlottesville, VA and recently made the move to Massachusetts to continue my dream of being an educator.
While not at Artisan I enjoy baking and am still on my quest to find the best bagel recipe! I look forward to more years at Artisan and getting to know the families and friends that make up this wonderful community!”
Jessica O’Neill
Hi! My name is Jessica O’Neill and I am entering my third year at Artisan! During my time here, I have been able to work closely with every age group and I am grateful for the way it has shaped me as an educator. Being able to work alongside all the incredible teachers at Artisan has taught me so much, and I can’t wait to keep on learning! I am currently a second-year student at North Shore Community College studying Early Childhood Education. After obtaining my Associate’s degree from NSCC, I intend on getting a Bachelor’s in Child, Family, and Community Studies! I love providing immersive curriculum experiences for young children, and am always on the hunt for quality children’s literature to add to my collection. Outside of teaching and attending school, I am a huge sports fan! Go Sox!
Pamela Fahlman
My name is Pam and I am a teacher in the Picasso room. I was born and raised in Oregon and moved to Massachusetts in May of 2020 after I married my college sweetheart. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Development at Oregon State University – Go Beavs!
Before coming to Artisan, I was the Resident Camp Director at Camp Cleawox, a Girl Scout camp on the Oregon coast where I spent all my summers growing up - 20 years! - and could never get enough of. I went from a frightened pre-kindergartner camper who wouldn’t set foot in a canoe through almost every position one can have at camp before I was privileged enough to be hired as the Camp Director for 3 years. My years at camp solidified my love for the outdoors and outdoor education.
I have always loved working with children, and I was ready to jump in to fulfill my dream when I started at Artisan. I love seeing the change and growth of children as they begin to build a strong foundation that will help them continue through life. I am excited to meet and grow each and every child that comes through my Picasso classroom. This is why I love working in early education.
When I’m not at Artisan you can find me in the out-of-doors; whether hiking with my husband or playing with our dog Kenai. I also love baking or curled up with our cat, Raska watching Disney movies.
